We know that sometimes, receiving mental health care can be a challenge, whether due to time constraints, saving money on transportation, heavy traffic in the morning or evening, a place of residence far from the urban area, or simply a work schedule that prevents you from receiving the service in person in Panama City (for more information, see our location).

Whatever the case, the Comprehensive Center for Educational Neuropsychology offers Telepsychology and Teleneuropsychology options: "provision of psychological and neuropsychological services through the use of telecommunication technologies, including videoconferencing and programs that allow the professional to carry out evaluation or intervention tasks."

Sometimes, virtual care may eventually be flexible and consider future face-to-face care at some point in the process. This can be useful for families and the public who want to start a mental health process remotely, benefiting in the long term from both types of modalities.

Service available for adults and adolescents. In the case of children, parents can benefit from this service in the context of psychological interviews. However, in the case of children, we suggest that the virtual modality be analyzed by the professional on a case-by-case basis, in order to determine whether or not this modality can be adjusted to the needs of the child.
