The AVE psychological test (bullying and school violence) is an instrument that allows the measurement of school violence, with the aim of adopting tools that allow, in the first instance, to detect psychological indicators that may be interfering with the quality of life of the minor and his/her family.
This test therefore measures the following scales:
✅ Global Harassment Index: allows the intensity of harassment and bullying behaviors to be established by the frequency with which they occur.
✅ Harassment: allows the evaluation of bullying behaviors in which there is the presence of psychological harassment that is manifested through contempt, lack of respect and an attack on the dignity of the minor.
✅ Bullying: assesses bullying behaviors related to emotionally consuming the child. For this reason, this scale can detect the presence of fear in the child, fear caused by threatening actions, intimidation, physical harassment or harassment at school hours.
✅ Threats to integrity: scale related to the presence of extortion, that is, the possible presence of threats that seek to attack the physical integrity of the child or his or her family members.
✅ Coercion: This scale is related to harassment behaviors that aim to get the minor to perform actions against his or her will, that is, attempting to exert control and submission of his or her will.
✅ Social blocking: assesses whether the child is being subjected to actions that block him from a social point of view, that is, prohibitions on playing in a group, prohibitions on speaking, expressing himself and communicating with other people.
✅ Social exclusion: assesses behaviors that seek to exclude the child, that is, treating him or her as if he or she did not exist, isolating him or her, preventing his or her expression and participation in group activities.
✅ Social manipulation: a scale that allows us to evaluate bullying behaviors that aim to distort the child's social image, that is, to present a negative, distorted image of the child to others.
✅ Aggression: This scale evaluates direct aggressive behavior, whether physical or psychological.
A positive aspect of this evaluation with the AVE (Bullying and School Violence) instrument is that it also allows for the measurement of clinical scales, that is, it allows for the establishment of the existence of possible psychological damages that are usually present in children who have suffered from bullying. For this reason, clinical scales related to the following indicators are considered in this evaluation:
➡️ Anxiety, post-traumatic stress, dysthymia, low self-esteem, flashbacks, somatization, negative self-image and self-loathing.
